This is a new record for the area as the previous record, 46.1°C was on 03.07.2002.

]]> According to the data from Yotvata meteorological station, September was indeed an extremely hot month:

The average temperature was 4.4 degrees, above the perennial average (34 degrees compared with 29.6).

At 14:50 on 4th September 2020 – 47.6 degrees was recorded – this is a new record temperature for Yotvata, The previous high was recorded on 31st July 2002 – 46.8 degrees.

For the first time the average temperature in September was higher than in August.
