As it is tradition the Research and Development Center implemented another successful day of agriculture in which we open our doors for anyone.
Many interested residents of the area joined us and were introduced to sustainable agriculture, which works with nature rather than against it, in the Eilot region.
We opened the gates of our research station to everyone, and participants could hear directly from our researchers about the fascinating studies conducted in the R&D, in various scientific fields.
In the second part of the day, we were happy to award scholarships to the winners of the late Gigi Strom Scholarship Fund.
This has become an important tradition in which we seek to commemorate the memory of the late Gigi – the beloved director of R&D and to encourage the continued research and development in the Eilot region.
We would like to thank:
Eyal Bigger from the Good Energy Initiative. Noam Weiss – the director of the bird park in Eilat, for his very interesting lecture and his facinating guiding in the field. Dr. Tali Zohar and the Dead Sea and Arava Science Center team, for their cooperation. The vocal ensemble “Ranot”, conducted by Mr. Gideon Efrati, for an exciting and impressive musical break. Zeev Miller – CEO of ICA, who honored us with his presence and is a great supporter of our research. The staff of the Yotvata Inn – who, as always, provided us with a delicious lunch.
And our dear audience for joining, expressing interest and showing us that we should continue creating similar events.
