Birds and agriculture – a match made in the sky

A study about the bio control services that farmers receive from birds was recently featured in the local newspaper.

The match makers in this story are Dr. Jessica Schackermann, a researcher at our MOP and Noam Weiss from the IBRCE,
who are investigating the free pest control services birds give to agriculture.

They are establishing a protocol on how the farmers can enhance these services in their crops with minimal effort towards more sustainable agriculture,
A true win-win situation for all involved parties.
